An innovative design At Honda we continuously look at ways of improving. So we set to work completely re-designing a car we were totally happy with. Features like 15" alloys, mirror integrated indicators, front foglights, body coloured side protectors and re-designed headlights bring better aerodynamics, increased style and improved driving. In looks, as well as innovation, the Civic Hybrid carries no compromises.
More power. Better economy The trade-off with cars has always been one of power and economy. Large engines produce more power and accelerate faster. But they burn more fuel. The Civic Hybrid system delivers the same level of performance but from a much smaller engine. This allowed us to design a lightweight body with efficient aerodynamics. So it achieves the performance of a saloon with a much sportier nature and still manages to cut your fuel consumption and lower emissions. Even the 15" alloy wheels are specifically designed to push aerodynamics to a new level. Something more in common with supercars than hybrids.
More comfort. More space When people think about hybrids they usually think 'alternative'. But, with the Civic Hybrid, we wanted to create a feeling of quality. That's why you'll find high quality fabric as standard and heated front seats with lumbar support. There's also an option for a full leather interior. Things you only find in executive saloons? Not any more. Space is a luxury too, and the Civic Hybrid has impressive amounts of it. Something achieved by designing the interior with a flat floor - created by running the exhaust system down the side instead of the centre and changing the shape of the battery pack behind the back seat. The result is plenty of room for heads, legs, and elbows, and all the comfort you could ask for.
